Desperado LGBTQ+ Movie Festival Cancellation Notice
We are writing with profound be sorry to inform you that the 17th annual Desperado LGBTQ+ Film Festival has been canceled. This ruling comes in direct response to recent presidential executive orders impacting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) actions at public institutions, including our community college district.
As a publicly funded institution, we must comply with these orders. Failure to do so would jeopardize the district’s federal funding, including student financial aid and grants that back over positions across our campuses. The loss of such funding would generate a ripple effect, significantly affecting students, faculty, staff, the community, and the educational services we provide.

Phoenix Pride Festival
For 43 years, Phoenix Pride has been organizing marches, rallies, parades, show education, and outreach events to mark the Phoenix Diverse community. In , over corporations, local businesses, and organizations supported the 42nd Annual Phoenix Event Festival in Phoenix.
This year’s Phoenix Celebration Festival will maintain to be a two-day celebration engineered to bring our diverse LGBTQ+ and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie and celebration of our past, present and future while raising funds for the Phoenix Pride People Programs and educating the public about the existence and continuing civil rights battle facing our community. The Phoenix Pride Festival attracts over 55, attendees during the two-day celebration offering one-of-a-kind opportunities for marketing and exposure for businesses and organizations interested in creating relationships within the LGBTQ+ community.

All accessibility facts is available at the Data Booth near the entrance, which is staffed with a volunteer who knows American Sign Language.
Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services
American Write Language (ASL) interpreters are obtainable during all performances at the Main, Community, Bistro, and Erotic World Stages. An Accessibility Viewing Area is available at the Main Stage for all those needing to see the ASL interpreters and those needing to see without obstructions, requiring a chair to sit, etc. Please see our Information Booth (with the interpreter symbol) near the Main Entrance to obtain an “Accessibility Area Wristband” for admission into the Main Stage Accessibility Viewing Area. Lost items can be picked up at the Phoenix Pride Customer Service/Information booth located neighboring the corner of 6th Street and Monroe. After the event, you can contact Phoenix Pride at to inquire about any lost and found items.
Accessibility
All Exhibitor Booths are wheelchair accessible and ADA Restrooms are available throughout the Festival. ASL (American Approve Language) interpreters will be available at the Hensley Beverage Company Main Stage and Community Stage for all performances. There will also be an interpreter at the Information Booth at 6th Street and Monroe for assistance.

While pets are allowed at Rainbows Festival, pets must be on a leash at all times. Be advised that the Rainbows Festival site is very little and gets very crowded.
